All Board Members are volunteers, and members of ASTA.
Meetings are held on a monthly basis using a phone conference call. Most meetings last about 30 minutes.
Once a year, the Board meets in person.
Once a year, a General Meeting is open to all ASTA members in Connecticut.

Not sure what you have to offer? Request to join as a Member-at-Large. If and when you are voted in, you will be welcome to participate in Board Meetings. You are welcome to listen, observe and/or contribute. It's a great way to learn how we operate, and decide if you want to become more involved.
President: This office is elected by the General Membership of CT-ASTA, and the President serves for 2 years in this position. The President sets times for meetings, attends the National Conference to represent our state chapter, and oversees or advises work to be done. The President also shares information with the President-Elect in an effort to train them for the position.
Past President: The President continues as Past President for 2 years, and serves to pass on information and advice to the current President as needed. The Past President may represent our state chapter at the National Conference if circumstances prevent the President from attending.
President-Elect: Is elected prior to their term serving as President of our chapter. Learns the job of President through frequent communication with the President.
Treasurer: This office is by nomination, and the officer is voted in by the Board. The Treasurer maintains and records all financial transactions, reports all updates at Board Meetings, and reports to the National Office at set times of the year.
Secretary: This office is by nomination, and the officer is voted in by the Board. The Secretary records minutes of meetings, and submits them to the President & Board for review.
Website Maintenance: This office is by nomination and/or volunteer.
Member-at-Large: This office is by nomination, and the officer is voted in by the Board. If and when you are voted in, you will be welcome to participate in Board Meetings. You are welcome to listen, observe and/or contribute. It's a great way to learn how we operate, and decide if you want to become more involved.
